Banff National Park is Canada’s oldest National Park, established in 1885. Located in Canada’s beautiful Rocky Mountains in the province of Alberta, Banff is known for its many lakes and hiking trails that provide exquisite views. Its turqouise lakes, formed by glaciers thousands of years ago, dot the landscape with splashes of bright color. Plenty of wildlife call this park home, including bighorn sheep, grizzly bears, cougars, and more! Banff is also home to several cultural institutions, including Banff Center, the Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum, and Cave and Basin National Historic Site.
