While most language and cultural immersion trips to New York involve NYC, the State of New York has many breathtaking attractions to visit like Niagara Falls, the Finger Lakes, Lake George and the Adirondacks. There are also destinations steeped in history like Cooperstown, Albany and Long Island. There are pockets of people dispersed through the state that immigrated from different countries, still speak native languages and observe aspects of their cultural background. School groups can choose to pursue immersion opportunities upstate, or combine with the plethora of possibilities in the Big Apple.
