Today’s youths are more aware of global issues than ever before. What combines conscientiousness and adventure better than an eco-tour? Graduating seniors can learn about nature and the environment while hiking, rafting and ziplining through it! While Costa Rica is a top senior trip destination, eco tours are now available elsewhere in Central America, Mexico and across the US.
Since senior trips usually occur after graduation, summer has arrived and beach resorts are always a popular choice. Top beach destinations include resorts in Mexico, the Caribbean, California, Florida, and elsewhere on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. Aside from great weather, beach resorts are a great grad trip idea because of the many fun activities available, such as:
A perennially favorite senior trip idea, amusement parks are literally designed to excite and entertain. The most popular theme parks to visit include Disney World, Disneyland, Busch Gardens, Universal Studios, Six Flags, Sea World and Schlitterbahn. In addition to roller coasters, theme parks offer an array of other fun activities like other amusement rides, games, competitions and educational shows. Senior class trips to many theme parks can be combined with other nearby attractions. Some theme parks, like Disney World and Universal Studios, specifically cater to high school senior class trips.
Another cool senior trip idea is to visit a major metropolitan area like New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston or Washington D.C. These big cities have a plethora of fun and educational activities for graduates to take part in. Popular attractions for senior trips in big cities include:
Our school's trip to NYC with our Performing and Visual Arts Academy students was nothing less than the trip of their lives. With events like: private tours of Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Broadway workshops with current and rising Broadway stars, lunch at Ellen's Stardust Diner, and still time to explore the city, who could ask for a more wonderful experience! Highly recommend!
