Best known for being the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island is not short on appeal. Providence, the largest city and capital, is a center of education, arts and medicine. The city boasts multiple institutions of higher education, including Brown University, Johnson and Wales University, Providence College, Rhode Island College and the Rhode Island School of Design. Providence also has great shopping at locations like The Arcade, Wayland Square and Providence Place Mall. There are mulitple possible venues for a school music group to perform during a trip to Rhode Island.
When in Rhode Island, visitors should make the drive down to the seaside town of Newport. A New England summer resort for the rich and famous during the Gilded Age, Newport is famous for historic mansions like The Breakers, Rosecliff, the Elms, Kingscote, Chateau-sur-Mer and Marble House. School groups can schedule tours of one or more of these incredibly luxurious mansions.

...the trip was wonderful! Thanks so much for all your work, support and assistance! Everyone had a great time! The hotel was wonderful and the food options were terrific! Bus drivers were friendly, kept in communication and buses were very comfortable. Everyone loved the Harrisburg Symphony open rehearsal in a beautiful performance hall and were especially surprised to see a world premiere piece. Of course, the students loved Hershey! Hopefully there will be more students next trip so we can perform in Music In the Parks competition.
